How this generator works
The Wohnungsgeberbestätigung is the landlord confirmation form required under §19 BMG (Bundesmeldegesetz) for every German address registration (Anmeldung). Without it, signed by your landlord, the Bürgeramt will turn you away and you lose your appointment slot.
There is no single federal template, each city publishes its own PDF. This generator fills the official version published by the Landeshauptstadt München, which contains every field §19 Abs. 3 BMG requires and is accepted nationwide. Government forms like this one carry no copyright (§5 UrhG, amtliches Werk), so reproducing and filling it is fully legal. If your own city publishes a different PDF, that works too, the content requirements are identical.
What happens when you click "Generate PDF"
- Nothing is sent to a server. The PDF is filled entirely in your browser, using the details you typed, and downloads straight to your device.
- The output is the real official form, not a paraphrase, filled in with your landlord's and your details in the exact fields the Bürgeramt expects.
- Print it, and have your landlord sign it before your appointment. A signature is the one thing this tool cannot do for you.
Common mistakes that get this document rejected
- Wrong date format. Germany uses DD.MM.YYYY, not MM/DD/YYYY. This generator formats the date for you automatically.
- Missing owner details. Only fill in the owner field if your landlord is not the property owner (for example, a managing agent); otherwise leave it blank.
- More than 7 people moving in. The official form has 7 name rows. If your household is larger, use a Beiblatt (supplementary sheet) from your city's Bürgeramt.
- Unsigned copies. A printed but unsigned confirmation is not valid. The landlord (or property owner, if self-occupied) must sign by hand.
